Prepared for Dutch John Resort
Elevated dam releases, a cooling trend, and strong midday BWOs. Here is this week’s flow data, section-by-section water temps, hatch windows, and tactics for the Green River.
Flows remained elevated between 2,166 and 2,180 CFS all week, and a cooling trend improved trout feeding consistency. BWOs were strong midday, Tricos showed in the mornings, and midges stayed active all day.
Below is the current dam release status, water temperatures by section, hatch timing, our recommended fly box, and a tactical breakdown of Sections A, B, and C. Drift boats remain the most productive way to cover water and reach active feeding lanes at these flows.
Match size to window and you will find active fish throughout the day.
| Hatch | Size | Window / Conditions |
|---|---|---|
| BWOs | #18–22 | Strong midday |
| Tricos | #20–24 | Present in mornings |
| Midges | #20–22 | Active all day |
| Terrestrials | #12–16 | Productive along grassy banks |
Our guides know how to fish these elevated flows and will put you on the right seam at the right hour. See open dates and reserve your trip on the Green.
